About twelve years ago, I was introduced to the Dibo family dog by Rod Kershner. Through Don Mayfield, Rod learned who and where the purest of Dibo was at the time. Rod also learned where the purest of the out-cross Dibo dogs were at that time. Rod was breeding the purest of Dibo to the purest of the out-cross Dibo dogs, bringing them back to the purest of the gene; tighter of Dibo every generation.
Askum, a pure Dibo male, and Tazz , a pure Dibo bitch, were bred. Tazz was very animalistic like you would not believe. Tazz would eat her whole litter and anyone who tried to stop her. Finally, Rod saved three pups; twos males and a bitch. He took the pups and put them on another bitch who was already with pups. The males names were Or Not and Did It, and the bitch was called Razz.
Rod let me buy Did It , who was lost in a yard accident. That is something you think you can never get over. It’s like being blessed one day and cursed the next. As Rod bred Or Not into the purest of the out-crossed bitches, the genes were so tight on Dibo that they were almost pure in some of his breedings. At that time, I was looking for the purest Or Not offsprings to breed to each other to tighten the bloodline further. The bitch I got was a dog called Edge off of Or Not and Annie, the purest of a dog called King Minos. King Minos was off of a pure Dibo bitch, Queen Tut, who was a short legged bitch bred to a male called ChiTown. The male I bought for $3500 was Will Not whose father was Or Not and the mother, Acea. This was the purest of a dog called Scorpio who was off of a pure Dibo male called Brasken, and a bitch, Midnight Midge of Nigger. Scorpio , King Minos , and King Minos belly sister, Brandi Starr were the best producers of the families. Rod speaks very highly of these dogs. What I had in mind when I purchased these dogs was to breed Will Not to Edge and double up on Or Not . As a matter of fact Rod made that breeding for me underneath his shade tree. I gave him a bitch he has today called Foxy, a double bred Or Not bitch. There were four others born in that breeding. A male called Double Not, and three bitches, Trixie, Cheyenne, and KC. All of them looking like Or Not . This is how I began my purest breedings five years ago.
At the time, I had another bitch named Blondie, who was out of a double bred King Minos breeding, very pure of Queen Tut bred to Is Not. Is Not was out of Or Not and Uno, one of Rod’s purest bitches. I bred Blondie to Will Not to produce more double bred Or Not dogs that were a little more towards the short legged family genes, since they were tighter on Queen Tut , a pure Dibo bitch more of the short legged family gene of Dibo . My Double Not dog was more of the long legged gene, so I bred him back to his half sister Sarah, out of Will Not and Blondie , which was four times Or Not , while shifting the long and short legged genes. I did this by using the purest of the out-cross of King Minos short legged gene and Scorpio of the more long legged gene.
As I kept breeding this way, all my dogs have been cloned. I am to the point now that if you look at my breedings to come, where I will be making uncle niece breedings 10 times Or Not at a 98% level of purity of Dibo . My whole yard looked like the Or Not dog, the purest of Dibo . Rod was on my yard one day and said, “Foster, you’re gonna have to start painting the dogs toe nails to tell em apart.” The gene has dominated, it even dominates over the black gene every time. You can read on Don Mayfields website under Dibo, then to Earl, and you will read how Earl Tudor bred to only the purest of the out-cross, not to a scatter bred out-cross like so many do today. Earl only bred to the purest of the out-cross, he had his dogs so pure that they all looked alike. The people that are breeding like Earl did of the Dibo family today are more pure than when Earl had them. It is all on Don Mayfield’s site. Read Gameness and Heritage and find out why they say almost every APBT came from the Dibo bloodline at one time.
Right now, I have a male called Spazzoh, who was out of Razz , a pure Dibo dog Or Not’s belly sister), and Single Not who is out of Or Not and Jana. Jana is a bitch out of King Minos bred to his belly sister Brandi Starr . Spazzoh is the closest thing to Or Not , he is almost Or Not himself in purity with the only out being of a more short legged gene. I have been breeding him to my purest of Scorpio more of the long legged gene. The dogs look and act so much alike you can’t tell them apart- male or female. The tighter I breed on Or Not while shifting the genes of the long and the short legged of the purest of the out-cross, the more animalistic the family gets. They’re clones in every way-physically and mentally. I got Spazzoh from Rod the day he was born. His mama, Razz was trying to eat her pups and I had a bitch with two day old pups who were Triple bred Or Not pups, all clones of Or Not . There were four pups in Spazzoh’s litter, two males two females when I put them on my bitch who had four pups herself. We had to shave the rear ends of the pups to tell them apart. The bitches didn’t make it, but the two males did. Spazzoh was my male for whelping the litter for Rod and Razzo was the other male Rod kept for himself. Through much hard work, trial and error, I have learned about something that has never been done like this before. The dogs are anywhere from 31-45lbs of the most animalistic animal I have ever dealt with, now I see why Rod and Don said they were so hard to get and they get better as your genes grow tighter to Or Not the purest of Dibo . The family has become very hard to produce since they are like something out of the wild. If you don’t believe me, try whelping a bitch or breeding a male for the first time. Most people can’t do it. As a matter of fact I don’t think anyone could unless they were familiar with the family of dogs I am dealing with. It is something that couldn’t possibly be understood because it is something that is being done for the first time. Every time I make another breeding, I am seeing things I would never believe unless I had seen it with my own eyes. Rod always told me if I bred this way it would be unbelievable. Rod was right, everything Don Mayfield taught Rod was the truth and more.
Rod was walking through my yard one day when I just put Spazzoh on chain. He was about 5-6 months old. Rod and I would talk most every day and I was telling Rod that they couldn’t come to my yard and pick Spazzoh from my other Or Not bred dogs. When he finally got to my yard he couldn’t find Spazzoh after walking by him twice. He pointed to other dogs thinking they were Spazzoh , finally, I had to show him which one Spazzoh was. Rod laughed and told me I had separated myself from all the rest because I was the only one who listened to him. Truth is all I’ve ever believed in, though many have been deceived in the ways of breeding bulldogs today. The truth is, without Don Mayfield and Rod Kershner these dogs wouldn’t exist today. Everyone can read the stories of Earl Tudor and Don Mayfield but I know the stories of Rod Kershner and the trials and tribulations he and his wife Carol went through to preserve this pure family. That is the reason it exists the way it is today on my yard. I could attempt to tell Rod’s story, but no one can tell it better than the man himself. Something everyone should know and will come to know about Rod and the big part he played in the history of the purest family of the Dibo dog.
This is just a short story to give you an understanding of the way I’m breeding this bloodline today and how I was started. I hope you enjoy my website and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Bless all who choose to seek the truth. May the Almighty Spirit of our creator guide and bless you in the wisdom and knowledge of the truth.
